Sessions provide exposure to cutting-edge topics, contemporary pedagogical techniques, and\u00a0 new technologies. Attendees find lifelong friends, connections to other engaged teachers, and a warm welcome from colleagues at these annual events.<\/p>\n<p>Conferences began in Chicago in 1975 and have been held annually. For details on the early years see the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amatyc.org\/amatyc-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AMATYC histories<\/a> (<a href=\"#errata-conference\">see previous history errata here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Effective 10\/23\/2023, the adjunct and retiree discounted conference registrations were institutionalized.
